A cigar box, perhaps from the 1990s, treated with a process that deposits iron oxide on the wood and makes it look like rusty iron.
The piece is very interesting because it denotes the typical appearance of rusty objects.
It is a laborious process that takes a lot of time; the oxides must be deposited in several layers.
The box mounts a glass of slightly aged plexiglass, the iron oxide (you can smell it) has been given a coat of rust-blocking paint.
We are in contact with the craftsman who carries out this type of procedure on any wooden surface.
